Ivan Mahovlic

Ivan Mahovlic, age 63, of Copley, Ohio, died unexpectedly on March 4, 2025. Born on June 12, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ivan was a dedicated accountant, known for his sharp mind and attention to detail. He built a respected career in his field, but it was his sense of humor and love for life that truly made him stand out. A passionate golfer, Ivan found joy on the course, whether making a perfect shot or sharing a laugh with friends and family. His wit, warmth, and ability to bring a smile to anyone around him will be missed by all who knew him.

Ivan's greatest legacy is the love he shared for his family. He was a proud father to Caroline and John and a devoted son, brother and uncle. His legacy will live on through the memories he created and the laughter he shared.

Ivan is survived by his children Caroline Elizabeth and John Thomas and his wife Shannon, his mother Caroline Dragica his brother Peter Mahovlic (Barbara); sister Mira Odorcic and Kathy Skrtic (Frank); brother in law Ron Trejbal( Stacy); father in law Don Trejbal and many nieces, nephews and cousins who he cherished and his constant companion Marigold Mahovlic. Ivan was preceded in death by his father Ivan and his sister Ana and nephew Thomas Ivan and mother-in-law Dalene Trejbal.

A visitation will be held at the Hummel Funeral Home located at 3475 Copley Rd. Copley OH, 44321 on Sunday March 9, 2025 from 2-4pm where family and friends can come together to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to so many. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day Monday March 10, 2025 at 11am at St. Hilary Parish located at 2750 W. Market St. Akron, OH 44333 with burial at Rose Hill to follow.
