Ina 'Lovene' (Ellington) Fairchild, 86 of Green, passed from her earthly journey to her heavenly reward on Sept. 25, surrounded by the family she loved and cherished. Lovene was born to John and Mary Ellington on August 4, 1928 in Sandy Hook, KY. She married Bill Fairchild on Aug. 22, 1947 and never recovered from her broken heart after his passing on July 8th 2014. After raising five children, Lovene returned to work as a private duty nurse. She was a member of Calvary Temple, Akron, Ohio and was a proud member of the Republican Party and served as a precinct judge and an elected Central Committee Member. Mom, was the most loving caring mother a person could have and she has left to mourn her passing, her children, Sharla (Bob) Collier of N. Canton, William (Mary) Fairchild of Stow, Robert (Heather) Fairchild of Medina, Sharon Hughes of Byesville, OH and John (Sharon) Fairchild of Mogadore, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sister in laws, George (Donna) Ellington, Bradenton, FL and John (Ruby) Ellington, Indian Lake, OH and many nieces and nephews. In addition to Bill, she was preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter. Friends will be received on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 East Exchange, Akron. Friends may also call on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at noon at Calvary Temple, 3045 Albrecht Ave., Akron. OH 44312. Interment in East Liberty Cemetery, Green.
