Howard Joseph Boxler 84 of Akron died December 6 2009 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Boxler; brothers Edwin Paul William; and sisters Mildred and Leona. Howard is survived by his sisters Rose Horinger and Dorothy (Thomas) McNeill; brothers Meryl and Robert Boxler; many nieces and nephews; and life long friends Tommy and Geri Hannah and their children Becky Duhon and Jimmy Hannah. Howard retired after 41 years from BF Goodrich he was a member of Turkeyfoot Sportsman Club and he was a member and past commander of VFW Post 1062. He served in the Pacific Theater as a Navy Seabee. Howard utilized his carpentry skills in service of many family and friends over the years. Mass of Christian Burial will held at 10:00 AM Thursday December 10 2009 at St. Francis De Sales Church 4019 Manchester Road Akron. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
