Henry Czaplicke

Henry V. Czaplicke 84 of Akron died December 2 2003. He retired from Wilkinson Chutes and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Naval Reserves. Hank was a member of PLAV Post 32 and the PAC Club. He was a former member of Annunciation Church their Holy Name Society and Ushers Club. Henry Czaplicke was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Catherine in 1997 sisters Zinnia Zaleski and Virginia Sweijk. He is survived by his children Alice (John) Costigan of Springboro OH Michael (Sandi) Czaplicke of Sandy Hook CT and Cathy (Jack) Herald; brother Edwin Czaplicke; grandchildren Michele Pickel Amy Smith Sarah and Ben Herald Jeff Costigan Cortney Gardner Megan Michael and Patrick Caaplicke and 7 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
