Harry Gregory Fairhurst, age 50, of Bath, OH passed away October 1, 2024 after a courageous battle with Metastatic Uveal Melanoma.
Greg was born on March 20, 1974 in Akron, OH. He graduated from Jackson High School and attended Kent State Stark Campus.
In 2001, he met the love of his life, Amy Kathryn. They married in 2002, and together raised three beautiful children, Harry Greyson 17, Annabelle Scarlett 15 and Charlotte Elaine 15.
His wife and children were his greatest joy in life. He loved them all fiercely, and fought so hard for more time at the football and lacrosse fields, the hockey rink and cheer competitions.
Greg was the CEO of Fallsway Equipment Company where he worked alongside his father for 36 years. He was a visionary and a driving force in the success of the business. He belonged to many trade organizations and was a member of YPO Cleveland Chapter.
He was a passionate golfer, learning the game at a young age. Over the years he enjoyed many rounds with his dad, his son, friends and business associates. He had a love of Scottish golf, traveling there often to play his favorite courses. Greg was a member at The Sharon Golf Club and Congress Lake Club.
He was passionate about automobiles, thanks to his dad, a love which has now been passed down to his kids. Greg had many hobbies, among them fishing, snowboarding and hockey. Greg also prioritized exercise and his health. He was known for being generous, donating his time and resources to organizations and those in need.
Greg participated in a Special Operations selection and assessment course run by former special operations veterans. Over the course of the event, he pushed himself to his personal limits and beyond, learning more about himself in a few days than most people learn in a lifetime. His toughness and determination to persevere earned him the friendship and respect of the veterans leading the event, forming a bond that endured.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry & Elaine Fairhurst and Robert & Eileen Hanlon and his mother-in-law Joyce Hamaker. He is survived by his loving family: wife Amy, children Harry Greyson, Annabelle and Charlotte, parents Harry & Nancy Fairhurst, sister Lori Fairhurst (Scott Moore), sisters-in-law Jill Hamaker and Sara Jurado (Javier), father-in-law William Hamaker, nieces & nephews: Samantha Beagle (Nick), Isabel, Sophia, Lucas, Ian & Oliver Jurado, and Noah & Rowan Beagle, extended family and innumerable friends.
