Harley Smith

Harley W. Smith Jr. 82 of Akron died March 4 2007. He is preceded in death by his wife Irma daughter Phoebe Hoover sister Patricia Henson and brother Julian Smith. Harley was a Navy veteran of WWII a graduate of East High School The University of Akron and attended The Ohio State University. He was retired from the Post Office and active throughout his life with the Boy Scouts and the American Red Cross. He is survived by his sons Scott Smith Harley Smith III and Kim Smith; daughter Robin Pelton; brothers Robert Smith and Von Smith; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Because cremation has taken place a memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday March 10th at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. Copley OH. From noon to 1pm at the funeral home the family invites all friends and family who would like to celebrate remembrances of Harley's life.
