H Faulconer

H John Faulconer 76 of Akron, Oh. received his Heavenly reward on June 22, 2021 surrounded by his family. Such a peaceful transition into Glory!
Born Oct.1, 1944 in Cynthiana, Kentucky to Harry C. Faulconer and Frances Faulconer
Preceded in death by both parents and baby boy.
Survived by his devoted wife Diana of 55 years,. He is also survived by his children Shawn D. Faulconer ( Candie), Scott ( Ann Hose), Angel Jones ( Chad) ; 7 grandchildren, Samantha Faulconer, Kaitlyn Jones, Haylie Jones, Jillian Jones, Brittany Faulconer, Alec Faulconer and Joshua Faulconer. 1 great grandchild Grace Faulconer. He leaves his faith family, friends and former co-workers and family.
John enlisted in the Marine Corp after high school graduation in 1963, has a degree in Mechanical Drafting & Criminal Justice. John worked for the Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Stores ( Acme Clicks) for 23 years as Plain Clothes Security then Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital as Security for 22 years.
John has been a servant of the Lord for 48 years. John's gift was to make people smile, feel valued and loved and he did that so very well. His motive was pure and to show the love of Jesus without focusing on himself.
John handed out pennies with either a cross or an Angel cut-out, to those he knew and loved, those who needed a smile or just a complete stranger. He loved walking up someone wearing a military hat or jacket and thank them for their service. He would often pay for a meal for someone in a restaurant without them knowing who did it.
John's farewell message written before he left this world:
Do not shed tears of sorrow, but tears of joy. For I am in Heaven now with my Lord and Savior Jesus talking about you.
I did not choose to be a common man, but as common as I can be.
"I shall not pass this way again. I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good thing therefore, that I can door kindness I can show to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."
A Celebration of John's Life will be July 10 @ 4pm at his church Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene 2025 12th St. SW Akron OH 44314 Pastor Terry Passmore officiating .
Join us and prepare to share something about John.
John's Cremation has taken place.

In lieiu of flowers, donations may be made to his church.

Thank you all that prayed for John and his family, for all of his care givers@ C.C. AGMC, Medical staff at IMCA Doctors McLaughlin, Tewari, Munoz, and Canterbury. Many became like family.
