Married nearly 67 years, she is survived by her husband Terry; daughters Sherry (Glenn) Bower of Dayton, Cindy (Paul) Siegferth of Akron, Candy Adair of Haverhill, MA and son Scott (Linda) Adair of Canfield. While raising her family, Gwen joined the office staff of Consolidated Freightways, holding a job she truly enjoyed for 28 years. Gwen retired in 1991 to her pleasures: gardening, cooking for her family, reading, traveling, and being a grandparent. To her children and grandchildren, she passed on her enjoyment of those interests and her sense of fun. She was preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Mainsel, Arlene Chaney, and Maxine Watkins as well as brothers Montgomery, Paul, Dick, and Charles Shreve. She is survived by one brother Neil Shreve of Boyce, LA. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8, 7:00 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. in Copley, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to One of A Kind Pet Rescue in Akron, Ohio.
