Gregory Nestlerode

February 27, 1957 — December 23, 2021

Best friend to his wife, and superhero to his daughters, Greg Nestlerode, 64, passed away Dec 23, 2021 after unforeseen complications from a heart valve infection.
Greg was born Feb 27, 1957 to Howard (Bud) and Rose Marie Nestlerode. He graduated from Copley High School in 1976.
He then began what would become a 42 year career at BFGoodrich (later known as Lubrizol) in Research and Development. He was renowned for his work ethic, dedication to problem solving and mentoring abilities. He was described by one of his work mates as " the type of man that could help you be better."
As another colleague mentioned, "Greg was great at work, but was the best with his family." He was so very proud of his girls, and dearly in love with his wife. He was living his best life when camping, savoring a cigar while stirring the coals of a campfire.
He will be forever cherished by his wife and partner of 40 years Ronda, his girls Rose (Zach) Leadingham, Ruby (Gabe) Nestlerode, his brother Kent (Marilyn) Nestlerode and his niece and nephews Zachary, Isaac and Maci.
The family sends special thanks to the caring and hard-working medical staff at Barberton Hospital ER and Summa ICU. Their efforts will always be appreciated.
In memory of Greg, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Animal Humane Society.
Hold those you love close and squeeze tight. Life can change in the blink of an eye. Thank you, sweetie, for all the laughter, love and endless hugs.
We'll keep the campfire burning for you, Greg.
