Grace "Penny" Giles

Grace "Penny" Yvonne Giles (Hunter), passed away Sept. 30, 2022, at the age of 84. Penny was married to the love of her life, William "Glenn" Giles for 66 years.  Penny was the bright and beloved light of her children, Valerie Durham, Glenn Giles (Dana), Jeffrey Giles (Jan) and  Pamela Harget (Lee). In addition to her husband Glenn and her children, Penny is survived by her grandchildren, Nathan Plum, Emma Giles, Gibb Giles, Jessica Daniels, Kelsey Carpenter, Samantha Durham, Vanessa Durham, Graham (Danielle) Giles and John Giles, her six sisters, Donna Valasek, Betty Bartholomew, Shirley Miller, Barbara Baker, Linda McBeth; two brothers, Jack and Jerry Hunter; three great grandchildren; Wyatt, Rowan and Valen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Margaret Hunter and by four sisters, Carolyn, Hazel, Joann, and Vivian.

Her welcoming nature, quick-witted humor, endless curiosity, and generous, non-judgmental nature made her a delight to know and love.  Ever the entertainer, Penny was the light and life of every room she ever entered. Her natural ability to act and artistic talent lead to fun times and experiences with the Bath Players and portraying characters at Hale Farm.
