Gloria Kuhar

Gloria Rita Kuhar (nee Gallagher) of Wadsworth passed away in her sleep Dec. 18, 2018 after a brief illness. She was 86. A 1949 graduate of St. Vincent High School, Mrs. Kuhar earned her B.S. degree from the University of Akron. In addition to raising her children, she worked at General Tire as an executive secretary. She later worked as office manager for engineering firm Burgess & Niple Ltd. until her retirement. She enjoyed working on appraisals and estate sales with John Andrew Kuhar & Associates. Mrs. Kuhar was a beloved wife and mother. She is survived by husband of 64 years, John A. Kuhar of Wadsworth; children Mary Ellen (Tony) Kimberlin of Hebron; John E. Kuhar of Jupiter, Florida; Patti (Michael) Hoying of Medina; and grandchildren Mike and Tom Kimberlin; Sam and Teddy Renner. Calling hours will take place on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 10-11:30am at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., Akron, Ohio followed by a prayer service at 11:30am and private interment. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the charity of your choice.
