Glen Elliott

Glen K. Elliott ('GKE') 88 of Clinton went to be with the Lord on November 25 2009 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Glen and Ruth; and his sister Mary Jo Hays. Glen proudly served his country in WWII as a U.S. Marine. He also served as Quartermaster for many years in the Doylestown VFW Post 6312. Glen was a gunnery sergeant in the Marine Corps an avid hunter owner of North Star Sport Supply and lover of Saturday morning Polka's on FM 88.1. Glen is survived by his wife of 32 years Audrey Mae; 3 daughters Ruth Anne Elliott Mary (Brian) O'Donnell and Dianne Elliott; step-children Mary (Greg) Harshall Barbara (Steve) Fralish Patricia (Jack) Irwin Jim (Kyle) Freeman Martha (Bob) Halley Tom (Michelle) Freeman and Theresa (Abe) Varughese; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 30 2009 at Grace Baptist Church 704 N. Firestone Blvd Akron. Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Pastor Phil Hulgin officiating. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron on Sunday from 4-7 PM.
