Gladys E. Steidl My beloved wife and our precious devoted mother was lifted into the arms of our Lord on May 17 2004 at Hospice Care Center. Born in Piedmont Ohio on April 9 1916 and has lived in Akron and Norton areas for over 65 years. She was a member at Copley Baptist Temple. She read the Bible every day. Loved life to the fullest loved quilting crafts her flowers birds her family of friends and relatives. Preceded in death by her parents Vernon Mary Fulton; her brothers Jack George; and son Dean A. Linard. She is survived by her husband George J. of 52 years. Daughter (Arlene) Kay (Robert) Copen; son Gary. Grandchildren Robert (Michelle) Copen Michael (Lynnae) Copen Darla Copen; Great grandchild Ben; sister Grace Watson of Dover and brother Ralph (June) Fulton of Mineral City; many nieces and nephews; and her two special friends Shirly and Evelyn. Her family and all who knew her will miss her greatly but know that she will be waiting for those she loved with open arms. The family wishes to thank the staff at Akron City Hospital and Hospice Care Center. Funeral Services Friday at 11:00 am at Copley Baptist Temple 1259 Aberth Drive. Interment in Hillside Cemetery Pastor Dan Hanlon officiating. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home (COPLEY) 3475 Copley Rd. on Thursday from 4-7 pm. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Copley Baptist Temple.
