Geraldine Salem

Geraldine Salem, age 76, passed away suddenly on March 31, 2014. She was born July 7, 1937 in Akron to the late Bill and Malky Abraham. Geraldine loved golfing and playing cards but most of all loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Gerry was a longtime member of Silver Lake Country Club. Preceded in death by her husband, George Salem; daughter, Tracy Salem and her brother, Billy Abraham; she is survived by her sons, William (Nancy) Salem and Greg (Gail) Salem; grandchildren, Travis, Joel, Samantha, Billy, Ryan, Madison and George; great grandchildren, Dominyk, Tristan and Travis; sister, Marlene (Bob) Dallas; nephews, Frank (Angie) Dallas, Joseph (Donna) Dallas and Jeff (Maria) Dallas; and sister-in-law, Patricia Salem. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304, where Trisagion Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Melkite Church, 600 W. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44302. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
