Geraldine Niam

Gerrie Niam 85 of Akron passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 27 2011 at The Village at St. Edward. She was the owner of Niam's Parkette for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie. She is survived by her children Edward Jr. Eric (Linda) and Don Niam of Las Vegas; brothers Paul Salem and Ed Salem of Las Vegas; sister Emaline (Len Jr.) Bolden; grandchildren Erica and Mike Niam; many nieces and nephews and especially Bruce Desiree Mickey and Eddie. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday July 30 2011 at 11 AM at Hummel Funeral Home 500 East Exchange St. Akron with Fr. Damon Geiger officiating. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home Friday July 29 2011 from 4-7 PM. Memorial may be made to St. Joseph Melkite Catholic Church 600 W. Exchange St. Akron OH 44302. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Edward for the loving care they gave to Gerrie over the past few years.
