Gerald Burch

Gerald A. Burch, age 70, passed away in his home on December 21, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 20, 1946 in Akron to the late Gerald and Anne Burch. Jerry attended grade school at St. Sebastian's, high school at St. Vincent's and graduated from The Ohio State University. He was a career pharmacist in the Akron area, most recently at CVS pharmacy on West Market St. Jerry enjoyed golfing, fishing and family vacations. Preceded in death by his sister, Judy Pickering; he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia; sons, Michael (Melissa) and Stephen (Marcia); brother, Keith (Kitty); and grandchildren, Alex, Sarah, Taylor and Payton. Calling hours will be Thursday 4-7 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 Friday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. Akron.
