George Donald Lang, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12, 2015. He was born on December 12, 1935, the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Tusick) Lang. George was a graduate of St. Mary High School, John Carroll University and the University of Akron. George fulfilled his military obligation as a Captain in the United States Army before he began his very successful career in Advertising and Public Relations, having been bestowed with many notable awards. He was active in the community, serving as a member of the Knights of Columbus, CYO soccer coach for St. Hilary, and he was an active volunteer and mentor for Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio. George will be remembered for his sense of humor and for his love of telling jokes and stories. He also had a love for the water and boating, and was a long time member and Commodore of Lake Milton Boat Club. George's greatest pride and joy was being present for the birth of all his grandchildren. George is survived by his wife Shirley (Dronick) Lang; sons, Dennis and Christopher Lang; daughter, Cynthia (Kevin) O'Grady; grandchildren, Christopher and Collin DeGroff and Daniel O'Grady, and numerous cousins and friends. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21 at St. Hilary Parish, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333, where the family will be receiving friends immediately following Mass at the church's Koegel Spiritual Center.
