George Fasy

George Fasy ended his earthly life on January 18 2010 and will now live in the hearts and memories of those who love him. George was a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star for 'bravery above and beyond the call of duty and with sustaining the morale of his troops'. He was employed by the Akron Board of Education. George was a free spirit who was known for his humor and his loyalty. George was preceded in death by his father George Fasy Sr.; brother Francis Fasy and nephew Edward Fasy. He leaves to mourn him his companion Debbie Brown and her son Rodney; mother Mary Fasy; sister Sharon Cericola; niece Andrea (Ben) Cericola -Travilla; nephew Dean Cericola; Michael (Cathy) Fasy; niece Laura (Dave) Kisler; and a host of family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 6 PM at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron where the family will receive friends from 4-6 PM. Memorials may be made to Summa Health System Palliative Care Unit 525 E. Market St. Akron OH 44398-9976. The family is most grateful for the tender care they provided.
