Gary Hanla

Gary W. Hanla lived and breathed on this earth for 63 yrs. until his spirit left it on March 5, 2017. He fought the good fight and is now at rest. He went to school, lived, and worked in the Copley-Akron area all of his life. Gary worked in concrete construction until he could no longer do it. He was a good carpenter, did an excellent job of painting walls and ceilings, and mentored a few co-workers. He is survived by his son Joey, grandson Ryan, who gave him great pleasure, significant other Linda, sisters Cheryl and Linda, and an uncle, cousins and friends. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Donations can be made in Gary's name to Hospice of VNS.
