Gail Doubell

Gail Ann Doubell, 75, passed away peacefully at the Garden's of the Western Reserve on Friday, Dec 4th after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Dec 1, 1940 in Evanston, Illinois to Andrew & Ruth Machata. She had previously resided in St. Augustine Florida since 1997. Gail was preceded in death by her husband Eric, who passed in 2005 after 45 years of marriage. Gail leaves a son, Eric Doubell III and his wife, Sheryl; son, Mark Doubell and his wife, Pam; and daughter, Julie Burriss. Gail also leaves behind nine grandchildren whom she adored; Bobby Winstead, Chris Doubell, Phillip Doubell, Zachary Winstead, Nick Doubell, Meagan Doubell, Matt Doubell, Katie Doubell and Logan Winstead. Gail also leaves a sister, Mary Rozelle (Roger) of Ft Pierce, Florida, brother Andrew (Adele) Machata of Vero Beach, Florida, brother Richard Machata of Waukesha, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Marilyn Crewe of Ft. Wayne, Indiana plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held on Saturday, January 9th at 11:00AM at Mt Zwingli United Church of Christ in Wadsworth, OH with Rev Keith Hejnal officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
