Fred Anthony (Cusimano)passed away unexpectedly March 11 2004 at his home in Akron OH. He was born in Jamestown New York November 11 1942. He dedicated his life to serving his family and his community. He actively served as a volunteer to many local regional and national organizations throughout his life. He was known for his rich voice and honest straightforward approach throughout his career. He spent much of his career in the broadcast industry delivering news via radio and television. He dedicated his later years to ensuring that others had access to compassionate health care and dignity in the challenges of the human condition that inevitably face each of us. He treasured time with his family and many friends. He was extraordinarily selfless and loving. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his many years of service with the NEC World Series of Golf. He will be remembered for great conversations and the laughter he brought through his mastery of joke-telling. He was preceded in death by his Son Mark. He is survived by his wife Carol of 39 years parents Fred and Helen Cusimano his sons Fred (Susan) and Chris his daughter Karen and his grandchildren Sam Chloe Scott Colin and Charles his brothers Robert (Sue) and Richard (Mary) Cusimano. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday March 16 2004 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Interment in the Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. on Monday from 3-8 p.m. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital Foundation Fred Anthony-Mark Cusimano Memorial Fund P.O. Box 2090 Akron OH 44309-2090.
