Frank Muraski

Frank T. Muraski 81 passed away on January 31st 2013 after a short illness with his wife and family at his side. He was born in Berea on September 20th 1931 to Frank and Florence Muraski. He grew up in Strongsville and attended St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. He graduated from Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland where he received a BS in Chemical Engineering. After graduation he began his career at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He then spent two years in the army working on air field development in Japan. After being discharged from the Army in 1955 he returned to Ohio and continued his career with Goodyear. While working at Goodyear he received his LLD from the University of Akron. Frank worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 39 years before retiring in Akron. His career took him and his family to Texas Louisiana and France. Frank is survived by his loving wife Joan his sister Mary (Ken) Sklarek of Rittman his three children Cindy (Steve) Anderson of Houston Texas Steve (Kathy) Muraski of Greensboro North Carolina and Paul (Odette) Muraski of Cypress Texas; grandchildren Rachael Ben Marc Nicholas Christopher Matthew and Michael; along with numerous nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends Sunday February 3rd 2013 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Hummel Funeral Home at 3475 Copley Rd. Copley. Frank was a member of St. Sebastian 476 Mull Ave. Akron where a memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday February 4th 2013 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Childrens's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis Tennessee.
