After nearly a four year illness Frank passed on at home in the presence of his loving wife and daughter on Friday October 5 2012. He was the ninth of ten children of Lottie Jane Hall and Thomas Hodgen. He was born in Sanoma WVA on December 10 1923 and was preceded in death by his parents two sisters and seven brothers. He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Mary Nemeth Hodgen to cherish his memory along with his son Thomas (Dawn) and daughter Linda four grandchildren six great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Frank moved to Akron in 1944 to work at the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 36 years. He then worked for the Carson Dellosa Publishing Company. In retirement Frank and his wife volunteered at Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital Goodyear Theatre Akron Civic Theatre and the American Red Cross for over two decades. He actively attended the Bridgestone/Firestone Retiree Club as recently as August. Frank and Mary joined then maintained membership at South Arlington United Methodist Church since 1958. A Memorial Service will be held in Cheyenne Wyoming this coming summer in order to allow for Frank and Mary's four grandchildren their spouses and six great-grandchildren to share in a celebration of his 88 years of wisdom.
