Frank Hafner

Frank J. Hafner passed away January 10, 2018. He was a long time resident of Copley, Sharon Center and Wadsworth areas. He served in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees from 1948-1952. He then worked at Goodyear Aircraft on the Goodyear Blimps for four years, then 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, retiring in 1986. In his retirement, he enjoyed yard work, gardening, woodcrafts and golf. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Deborah L. (Tim) Young and her mother, Barbara; granddaughter Jenna; grandson Joe; sister Barbara A. Duzro and her children, and Frank's former step children and step grandchildren. The family wouldl like to thank the caregivers of Amherst Meadows and Harborlight Hospice for their loving care. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 12-2p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley, where services will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 p.m. Private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haven of Rest 175 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44308.
