Florence Ritter

Florence I. Ritter, age 96 of Copley, passed away on May 31, 2014. She was born on October 3, 1917 in Copley to the late Leroy and Nellie Bessemer. Florence was retired from the Copley School District as a secretary after 40 years of service. She was a founding member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Adam Ritter; three brothers, William, Edward and James Bessemer; she is survived by her sons, James (Margie) Ritter and William Ritter; 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson; many nieces and nephews and special friends Rita and Tim Lance. The family would like to thank the staffs of Village at St. Edward's and Crossroads Hospice for all of their compassionate care. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleve-Mass. Rd Copley, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Village at St. Edward's 3131 Smith Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
