Everett S. Bradley 84 of Copley passed away April 6 2011 following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Bessie (nee Prentiss). Everett leaves behind daughter Diane Bradley of Lancaster OH; son David (Eileen) Bradley of Strasburg PA; grandchildren Evan (Laura) Bradley Lauren Bradley Megan Bradley and Katelyn Matheney; great-grandson Liam Evans-Bradley; sisters Betty (Jim) Hines and Linda (Marvin) Hale; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Born in Somerset KY Everett lived most of his adult life in the Copley area. After serving in the US Army during WWII he worked as a tire builder at Goodrich owned his own radio and television repair shop and eventually retired from Goodyear Aerospace (Loral Systems) after many years as an electronics technician. Everett was regarded as an accomplished gardener golfer carpenter and craftsman and generous with his time and care of others. He was always interested in learning more about the world around him and sharing that knowledge with others. A devoted husband and loving father he considered his greatest legacy to be his children and grand-children. A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 noon on Monday April 11 2011 at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. Interment in Copley Twp. Cemetery Veteran Memorial Section with Rev. Walt Chisholm officiating. Copley VFW Post 7971 and American Legion Post 473 will assist with military honors at the cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday prior to Everett's service from 11:00 AM until 12 noon.
