Evelyn Von Gunten

On Sunday, May 12, 2024 Our Lord called Evelyn home. She was preceded in death by her loving Husband Curtis and her precious daughter Lisa Marie "they are together again". Evelyn was born in Akron. After her marriage to Curt they moved to Tallmadge where they raised their family of 8 children. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survived by her daughter Valerie ( Nick) Petrarca of Canal Fulton, Debra of Suffield, sons John of Myrtle Beach S.C, David (Barbara) of Tallmadge, Michael of Tallmadge, Mark (Laurie) of Akron, Matthew of Loris, S.C, 8 grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel (Kendra), Andrew (Jennifer), Tiffany (Dan), Curtis (Leah), Grace, Hallie, Sadie, 9 great grand children her Dear Liam, Nolan, Sabrina, Danny, Clara, Chase, Alyssa, Cadie, and Hazel, brother Walter Golowic, Niece Karen (Bob) Kimes, nephew Kevin (Lynette) Golowic of Michigan and countless Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday May 16, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 1800 Steese Rd. in Uniontown Ohio on Friday May 17, 2024 at noon with internment at Tallmadge Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a Charity of choice.
