Eva Largent

On Wednesday, November 21, Eva was called home to be with her creator. Born on Feb. 21, 1927 in Davis, West Virginia, she was the youngest of 14 children. She married her high school sweetheart, Ivan in 1946 and they were together for 70 years until his death in 2017. Together they raised 2 children. A devout Catholic she was an active member of Annunciation parish as a lay minister, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Monica's study club. She worked on dances, bingo, fish fries, in any way she was needed. She loved to play marbles, cards and gamble, visiting Rocksino a month before her death with her devoted daughter-in-law, Melinda and longtime friends Margaret and Irene. She will be missed by her son and caregiver, Tim (Melinda) and daughter, Karen (Rosemary) and special friend, Jim Marino. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday at Visitation of Mary (Annunciation) Catholic Church, 55 Broad St. Akron, Ohio, where friends may call from 9:00-10:00am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Visitation of Mary Catholic Church.
