Ethel Smith

Ethel C. Smith 98 departed this world on November 14 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother Claire A. McVan; husband Charles L. Smith; brothers William Richard and Thomas McVan; and sisters Sr. Margaret Marie Helen Whitmer Ann Lingle and Mary Stayer. A homemaker she was also employed as clerk for Roadway Inc. retiring after 25 years of service. She loved to travel with her husband family and social clubs; she was also a TOPS member. Ethel is survived by her sons Charles L. (Carol) and John G. (Vivian) Smith; daughters Janet M. Venarge and Margaret A. Bilandzia; her sister Mildred; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Robinson Visiting Nurse and Hospice Dr. Jose Dy and his staff from Visiting Physicians and Dr. Mark Weissfeld. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10 AM on Saturday November 19 2011 at St. Joseph Church of Cuyahoga Falls located on the corner of Second St. and Sackett Cuyahoga Falls 44221. Private interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron 44304 Friday November 18 2011 from 5-8 PM.
