Ernest Scarpitti

Together Forever'' Ernest A. Scarpitti 90 of Akron passed away peacefully on Saturday June 11 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marylynn who passed away Feb. 18 2011; brother Albert; infant brother Lawrence; and sister Grace Giorgio. Ernest leaves son Michael (Carla); daughter Mary (Bob) Rocco; eight grandchildren; brothers Arthur (Katherine) and Paul; and many nieces and nephews. He was a proud Army veteran of WW II; suceessfully owned and operated Scarpitti Steel Co.; was a long-time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church; and was an accomplished pianist drummer and composer. A more diversified and loving person would be hard to find. The family wishes to thank the staff and clergy at Summa Palliative Care. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
