Erich Pansegrau, age 80, passed away on February 27, 2022. He was born to the late Henry and Emma Pansegrau. Erich was married to his best friend, Anna Pansegrau, for the past 36 years, and she survives.
Erich is also survived by his children, Rick Pansegrau, Tina Troisi, Stephen Pansegrau, J.D. (Gwen) Bender, Chris (Lisa) Bender, and Lisa Zoldesy; 14 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Fred (Joyce) Pansegrau; a sister, Frida Milli; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with is parents, Erich was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Pansegrau.
Erich was a self-made man. He started Tri-State Tool and Die from a simple idea to a successful, thriving company. Erich's life was his wife, his family, and his business. He loved spending time with is children and grandchildren and seeing all their many accomplishments. Erich was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He achieved the rank of E5 Sergeant during his enlistment and was proud to become a U.S. Citizen. Erich's home was his sanctuary. He enjoyed working in the yard, working out, and LONG walks on the beach. Most of all, he was "Poppy" for his family.
A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley. Visitation will follow the memorial service from 12 - 2 pm at the funeral home.
