Emma Buescher

March 18, 1916 — September 8, 2012

Emma Louise Buescher 96 passed away peacefully on September 8 2012 in Nashville Tennessee. Her loving husband Cletus J. parents Frank and Emma Kanda and sisters Mary Ball and Margaret Evan preceded her in death. Emma was born in Cleveland OH on March 18 1916 and had been a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for 56 years before moving to Nashville TN in 2004. Emma was a charter member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and active in the adult choir and Mother of Sorrows choir the Legion of Mary served as a Eucharistic minister was chairperson for funeral luncheons and a member of the National Council of Catholic Women. She was elected 'Women of the Year' for the Council in 1992. Emma also served as program chairman for the Cuyahoga Falls Senior Travel Club for several years. Throughout life Emma enjoyed reading novels gardening traveling playing bridge and spending time with family. She will be remembered for being a good friend and for her love of her faith. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Francis M. Kovac and grandson Francis G. Kovac of Nashville TN in addition to brother-in-law and wife Gilbert and Fern Buescher nieces and nephews devoted friends Patricia Winslow and Ann Mancini. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron 44304 on Thursday September 13 2012 from 2-5 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls on Friday September 14 2012 at 11 AM. Entombment in Northlawn Memorial Garden to follow. Memorials may be made to the Father McIntyre Fund of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 1905 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls Ohio 44223.
