Eloise Shick

Eloise May Shick (94) died on Sunday December 28 2008 in Waltham MA. Beloved wife of the late Chester A. Shick of Akron OH and daughter of Rev. J. Franklin and Dorothea Yount. She is survived by her two sons C. Arthur Shick and his wife Germaine of West Union SC. and Rev. Stephen M. Shick and his wife JoAnn of Lexington MA and three sisters Lenore Hennig of Colorado Springs CO Rachel Horton and Sarah Jane Emerick of Peoria AZ. She was predeceased by her husband Chester Shick great-granddaughter Hannah Grace Shick and brother Franklin Yount. She was a much loved grandmother of Travis Sarah Adam Dora and Michael and of her five great-grandchildren Mekinsey Miles Tucker Gabriela and Veronika. Eloise lived most of her life in Akron. After Chester's death in 1973 she ran the family dry-cleaning business in Northfield OH. In her later years she lived in SC and MA with her sons and most recently was resident of Dana Home in Lexington MA and Maristhill Home in Waltham MA. As a devout Christian she provided loving care to family and friends and faithfully supported several service organizations. As a founding member of Fairlawn Lutheran Church she served that congregation as its first pianist. Funeral Services Tuesday January 6 2009 at 11:00 AM at Fairlawn Lutheran Church 3415 W. Market St. Fairlawn OH 44313 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
