Ellen Rich

Ellen Elizabeth (Aunt Helen) Rich, born January 18, 1924 in Akron, died November 3, 2015 at the Village at St. Edward. She was the daughter of Charles and Lucy Rich who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her sisters, Angela Mary Pinto, Mary Theresa Pinto and Rosemary Rita Rich and niece Lucy A. Pinto Bland; she is survived by nieces and nephews, Thomas A. Pinto (Linda Parenti, MD) of Akron, Ohio, Charles A. Pinto (Joanne) of Grey's Lake, Illinois, Lawrence A. Pinto (Cheryl) of Akron, Ohio, Matthew G. Bland of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Frank A. Pinto (Marilyn, deceased) of Las Vegas, Nevada, John F. Pinto, MD (Deena) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Joseph M. Pinto of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, James L. Pinto, MD (Joanne) Barstow, California, Katherine Mendenhall (Charles Mendenhall, MD) of Albany, Georgia and Daniel C. Popovich (Danna) of Knoxville, Tennessee; great nieces and nephews, Christopher Pinto, David Pinto, Kevin Pinto, Elissa (Lee) Rathbun, Thomas C. Pinto, Nicholas (Melissa) Pinto, Lauren Pinto, Katherine J. Mendenhall, Kristen Mendenhall, Kristina Popovich, Sarah Ellen Pinto, Michael Pinto, Tony Pinto, Anne Marie (Richard) Wilson, Lucy Ellen Pinto, Andrew Bland, and LeAnne (Trey) Vice; 8 great great nieces and nephews. Ellen was a charter member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was a dedicated bookkeeper for over 50 years at Annunciation Catholic Church in Akron. She will be remembered as a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews. Ellen was a true and generous friend to many. Per her request, there will not be any calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Akron, Ohio. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
