Eleanor Theresa McDonald ('Ellie') formally of Bath, Ohio and a resident of Bonita Springs, Florida passed away in her Florida home at age 105 September 8, 2018. She was born August 27, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Theodore Guy and Philomena Christine deHam of Pittsburgh, her beloved husband Emmet James McDonald, sisters Bernice Ford of Pittsburgh and Adele Jarema of Erie, brother Frederick deHam of Denver, and son-in-law Wyatt M. Webb of Fairlawn. Eleanor was a charismatic mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and homemaker who enjoyed music dancing, gardening, swimming, and chocolates! She was also a devoted parishioner at St. Hilary Catholic Church, and most recently at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples. Eleanor is survived by her loving children James E. McDonald (Carolyn) of Florida and Barbara Webb (late Wyatt) of Fairlawn and six grandchildren: James E. McDonald III, Heather Somodi (David), Shelly Butcher (Daniel), Stacey Hrabak (Brian), Wendy Bloch (Richard), and Michael Webb (Morgan). 'Ellie' also is survived by sixteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass to commemorate her life will be held on Friday, September 28 at 11:00 am at St Hilary Church in Fairlawn followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.
