Edwin Conrad

Edwin H. Conrad of Doylestown passed from this life on Friday May 9 2008 at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 6 1926 in Springfield OH and graduated from Springfield South High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Navy after graduation and married Ruby Lauretta Scott in 1946. He was employed for 42 yrs. by Ohio Edison (First Energy) retiring as Senior Auditor in 1989. He loved movies travel and spending time with his 3 children 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 62 yrs Ruby; daughter Sonda Hall of Byesville; sons Jim (Gail) of Olmstead Falls and Bruce (Christie) of Tallmadge; grandchildren Christie (Bryan) McMillan Amie (Doug) Koeberle Melissa (Todd) Brazelton Holly (Mark) Johnson Melanie (David) Naida Mitchell Conrad and Ellen Conrad; great-grandchildren Caden Hall Tyler Hall Marina Hall Cora Koeberle Brady Brazelton Kaleb Johnson Scott Naida and Shawn Naida; and brother Donald (Rena) Conrad of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Ronald Hall and grandson Scott Hall. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Remains will be cremated and interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
