Edward Steurer

Edward J. Steurer, 86, passed away Thursday July 2, 2015. He was born in Akron. Ed is a veteran of the Army serving during the Korean War. He is a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Ed retired from General Tire . Ed was preceded in death by parents George and Betty; sister Margie. He is survived by wife Rosemarie; children Robert, Marjorie (Sam) Philpot, James (Betty), Charles (Sylvia), Nancy (John) Ventrone, Michele, Susan (Mike) Foster, Eileen (Ray) Baker; brothers Bill, Jack, Tom, Larry; sisters Marylou, Peggy, Liz and Kate; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
