Edward Francis Reilly, age 52, born November 24, 1964 in Morristown, New Jersey, died July 5, 2017 in Copley, Ohio. Ed is survived by parents Charles Patrick Reilly of Solana Beach, CA and Eileen Virginia Reilly of Dana Point, CA, brothers Craig Reilly and wife Sandy of Port Orchard, WA, Chris Reilly and wife Susan of Bainbridge Island, WA, and sisters Jeanne Riggs and husband Dave of Ann Arbor, MI and Maureen Campbell and husband Tom of Renton, WA. He is also survived by his Aunt Kathy Reilly, Aunt Joan and Uncle Walt Minigutti, and Uncle Ron and Diana Reilly. He was a caring Uncle to Brian, Kelly, Joe, Molly, Jack, Luke, and Thomas and a loving cousin to many. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Isabell Reilly, Edward and Frances Burke, Uncle Edward and Aunt Londie Burke, Aunt Doris Rizzo, Uncle Joe and Aunt Claire Rodriguez, and Aunt Nora Speer. Ed grew up in Ironia and Hillsdale, NJ until he was 13 and then moved to Upper Arlington, OH. He was a successful member of the varsity wrestling team and graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1983. He attended The Ohio State University before moving around the country for various jobs including New York, Georgia, Kuwait, and California before settling in Copley, Ohio. He enjoyed playing darts, doing woodworking, working on his personal computer and cooking in his free time. Ed developed some close friends during his 10 years in Copley, including Kenny Williams and Frances McGregor. He was a valued employee at First Communications in Akron, Ohio. Ed had a strong work ethic and had a caring family of co-workers including Cindy Allen, Rich Bragg, and Rich Dawson. Ed's sense of humor, honesty and kind heartedness will be forever missed by his family and friends. Family was important to Ed and he always tried to be in attendance for family events. He has many cousins with whom he was close to and made frequent trips to Michigan and California to spend time with his parents and siblings. Arrangements are being made through the Hummel Funeral Home of Copley, Ohio. A mass in his name is being scheduled at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, in Dana Point, California and a memorial service is being planned in California, where his final resting place will be.
