Devoted Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle
Edward Earl Foxworth, 69, died Tuesday March 29, 2022, at his Akron home with his family by his side. Ed lost a long battle with lung cancer. Ed was born July 24, 1952, in New Orleans, LA., to Louise and James Edward Foxworth. Him and his family moved to Detroit, MI in the 1960s. Ed went to school for auto body and collision repair.
Ed met his first wife and had his only son, Martinezs Edward Foxworth was born April 16, 1971. Also, Ed has another child born March 14, 1974, a daughter, Conzwuella Christian whom he was able to reconnect with later in life and establish a relationship.
Ed met the " love of his life" Linda Carol Bouye" in 1977, whom he eventually married. Linda already had a daughter, Maia Simone Bouye, who he raised as his own child. Ed and Linda moved to Ohio in 1979 and were married December 6, 1982. They were married over forty years at the time of his passing.
He worked for Earl Schieb Paint & Body, Akron Dispersions and Janco Cleaning Services. Ed was at Janco until he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016.
Anyone who knew Ed, knew he loved to fish. He would go out to the lake first thing in the morning and not leave until it was too dark to see the fish. Ed loved fishing so much; he made sure to teach his family all of his fishing skills. He would frequently bring them out for competitions of "who could catch the biggest fish" and even when he wasn't the winner, he still made it a good time. Ed always put his friends and family first. He always wanted others to be happy before he thought of himself. Ed unfortunately was used to heartbreak because he was a diehard Cleveland Browns Fan. This shows Ed's devotion and love. Ed never gave up on something or someone he loved. He was always there for the good and bad times. This is what made him a great husband, father, grandparent and friend.
