Dorothy Reed

Dorothy Elizabeth Reed 81 of Akron passed away peacefully on July 26 2010 with her family there. Dorothy was a loving wife to Larry; loving mother to Sandy (Mike) Soful Sharon Darkow Kathy Lomax and Larry's sons Whitey (Lyndi) Reed and James Reed. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Michael (Carrie) Soful Matthew (Becky) Soful Kristen (Frank) Davis Brittany (Ryan) Grimshaw Adam and Alex Darkow Lindsay Reed and Abbey Junker; and 4 great-grandchildren. She leaves her brothers Buzz (Margaret) Motley and Vernon (Ann) Motley; nieces and many cousins. Dorothy was a gracious volunteer at Montrose Zion UMC and Habitat for Humanity. She was a founding member of the Young Mother's Club a member of Ellet Garden Club and a member of Ellet Women's Club. She always had a smile and warm greeting for family friends and new acquaintances. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday July 31 2010 at Montrose Zion United Methodist Church 565 N. Cleveland-Massillon Rd Akron OH 44333. Memorial donations may be made to the Montrose Zion UMC or Habitat for Humanity 2301 Romig Rd Akron OH 44320.
