Dorothy Mulhearn

Dorothy Ann Mulhearn ( nee Denholm ) Passed away November 17, 2016 peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. A lifelong Akron resident Dottie was born on February 6, 1942, she was 74 years old. She attended St. Vincent Church in Akron . She graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1960. She was proceeded in death by her parents Bob / Lucille Denholm, siblings - Brother Bobby and Sister Deanna. She made a positive impact on all those who's path she crossed. She led by example. She was kind and honest. She passed through the generations her wisdom to every babies' ear she rocked to sleep and her love will be never ending. She lived her life selflessly for her children and family. She enjoyed her summer's camping for over 40 years at Loyal Oak Park in Norton. Dottie made countless friends professionally where she served the community at the JOBS and Family Services where she retired in 2009. We will all miss her witty responses, forgiving smile, and honest advice. She loved Unconditionally and listened intently. She gave everything she had and fought a good fight. She leaves behind her Daughter Melanie ( Joe ) Shuber - Akron , Sons - James ( Beth ) Mulhearn - Norton, Michael Mulhearn - Akron. Sisters - Joan ( Roger ) Lee - Tallmadge , Kathy ( Jeff ) Patterson . Grandchildren - Ashley ( John ) Pejnovic - Copley , Ed Waters - Akron, Patrick and Daniel Mulhearn - Norton , Kaitlin and Corrigan Shuber - Akron . Great Grandchildren - Ellie and Alivia Pejnovic - Copley. Hundreds of cousins and thousands of friends. May God welcome her at the banquet of everlasting life and may peace find all those who mourn her. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 1:00 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
