Dorothy (Dottie) Rose Kungle, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023. Born February 14, 1927 in Krebs, Oklahoma to John and Mary Magnani, she moved to Akron when she was a child and graduated from North High School. Dorothy was married to her beloved husband of 61 years, Charles in 1948. She was a lifelong resident of Fairlawn and a founding member of St. Hilary Church. She enjoyed cleaning house, shopping, playing card games, and golfing (in that order).
Preceded in death by son, Gary Kungle in 1955; husband, Charles in 2009; and daughter-in-law, Penny Kungle in 2015, she is survived by children Shelley (Gregg Inama), Patricia (Peter Wood) and Jeffrey Kungle; grandchildren Ryan (Shanya) Inama, Brittany Kungle Ilibasic (Igor Ilibasic); and great grandchildren Gia, Taya, and Vinny Inama, all of whom were her pride and joy.
"Dottie" was a devoted wife, an amazing mother, an incredible grandmother/great grandmother, and a great friend to everyone she knew. She will forever be remembered as a loving, kind and giving woman. Her kindness and generosity were matched only by her unconditional love. Her children are eternally grateful God blessed their lives with her presence. The impact she leaves on them can never be expressed in words and their love for her is impossible to measure.
Special thanks to the administration, staff, and nurse Marchelle at Arden Courts Promedica Memory Care for providing ten years of health care services, and to nurse Melissa and the team with Hospice Promedica for their support and compassionate care.
