DONNA F. WEBER 1936-2015 Donna F. Weber died peacefully on February 18 at Akron General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec 17, 1936 in Weidman, Michigan, the daughter of Herbert G. and Dorothea Tupper Crowley. She graduated from Shepherd High School Michigan in 1955 and married Carl D. Weber on August 22, 1958 in Isabella County, OH. Donna worked for a supermarket in the accounting offices until she and her husband joined the Army in 1959. After returning to Midland, Michigan in 1962 for four years then moved to West Akron and then in Aug 1969 they moved to Copley Township. Donna's passion was cooking and after her children were in school she worked as a day manager in a local restaurant for several years. Just weeks before her death she was still baking and cooking meals for her family. In her later years, she became and avid baseball fan rooting for her Cleveland Indians. Donna supported several charities and among her favorites were Children's International and St. Jude's Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the aforementioned charities or for COPD or Pulmonary Fibrosis Research. Donna was a charter member of the Akron General Wellness Center in Montrose, being active in Water Exercise where she made several lasting friendships. Donna had four children, Teri (Allen) Stump of Rootstown, Brian (Trish) Weber of Fairlawn, Mark (Karen) Weber of Copley and Lynn (Jeff) Fickes of Copley. She had eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy in life and she spent thousands of hours babysitting and taking her grandchildren to Zoos, museums and parks. She is survived by her husband Carl, and sisters, Betty Converse of Midland County, Michigan, Carrol Metcalf of Winn, Michigan, Barbara Bradley of Arizona and a brother Ronald of Isabella County, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Carl of Isabella County, Michigan. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 11am at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, OH 44321 with Fr. Joseph Warner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
