Donald Darlington

Donald A. Darlington, 79, passed away Sunday February 21, 2016 in Fort Myers, Fl. He was born in Barberton, Ohio on June 8, 1936 to Charles and Ruth (Logsdon) Darlington. Don was a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in accounting. He resided in Florida for many years. Don was a devout catholic. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary, Lone Star Fraternity and volunteered many hours with the elderly. Donald is survived by wife Bertha; sister Margie Trettel; step-children Enrique, Paul (Sonia), Dr. Miguel (Rocio), Pedro (Karin) Saria, Bertha (Pepe) Deza; dear friend George Sahyouni; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and brother Paul. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St., Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls.
