Dlario "Ellery" "Danny" Daniele passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 14, 2021. He was 97.
Preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; infant son, Lawrence; he is survived by daughters, Michele Daniele and Suzanne (Denny) Stoll and grandson, Eric (Tracey) Dufala.
A World War II veteran, he trained in the last 124th Horse Calvary Regiment and was shipped to Italy and fought under Gen. Mark Clark in 5th Army, 1st Armored Division. Wounded twice then transferred to Gen. Clark headquarters in Vienna as a courier. He received a Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars. He retired from BF Goodrich after 40 years. He was proud of his Italian heritage. He was a hard working well liked man with many friends. He would do anything for anybody. He loved riding horses at a young age. His passion was his mini farm with his horse, Rusty and Farmall Tractor, along with ponies, chickens, peacocks and German shepherds.
He enjoyed going to Farmerstown every Tuesday. Everyone knew him as Danny from Akron with the Red Truck.

Funeral service will be Friday 1:00 pm at the Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
