DiAnne Thomas

DiAnne Peterson Thomas, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 with her children by her side.

She was born September 30, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Carl W. Peterson and Mary L. (Shumack) Peterson. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in elementary education and remained a rabid Hawkeye fan for all her life.

DiAnne is survived by her son Kevin (Linda) Thomas and daughter Kathy (Mark) White, grandchildren Emily (Matt) , Shea, Andy (Katie) and Meredith (Jeremy) and great-granddaughters Ember and Reese.

No service will be held. After cremation, she will return to Cedar Rapids to rest with her loving family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in DiAnne's memory to local Humane Society chapters.
