Diana Gail (Legg) Faulconer, 74, of Akron, Ohio, received her Heavenly reward on October 27, 2021 surrounded by her family - such a peaceful transition into Glory!
She was born October 25, 1947, in Richland, West Virginia to Edwin Lee Legg and Geraldine Cooper. Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and love of her life H. John Faulconer, parents Edwin (Betty) Legg and Geraldine (Boyd) Thomas, sister Leigh Cummings, brother Don Legg, and a baby boy.
She is survived by her three children: Shawn D. (Candie) Faulconer, Scott D. (Ann Hose) Faulconer, Angel D. (Chad) Jones; seven grandchildren: Samantha Faulconer, Kaitlyn Jones, Haylie Jones, Jillian Jones, Brittany Faulconer, Alec Faulconer, and Joshua Faulconer; and one great granddaughter: Grace DeHaven. She also leaves behind her faith-family and her friends.
Diana was a devoted stay at home housewife and mother. Nothing meant more to her than being there for her three children when they arrived home from school. She would always make her meals from scratch which were always delicious. This isn't to say that Diana didn't work, nor just work as a wife and mother. Diana and Johnny opened a ceramic shop called Unicorn Ceramics in the 80's in Firestone Park, where she loved to teach painting classes and create unique one of a kind crafts. She was truly gifted in that area and she made some lifelong friends from the shop. She tried her hand at several home-based sales companies over the years, her most recent example being Magnolia Design Co. She eventually coupled her love of children with work, opening a daycare out of her home. She had a constant flow of children from newborn to older children (latch key kids). She ran this business for 30 plus years, often while also running her home-based sales businesses. She had lots of love to give, not just to her children and grandchildren, but also to those in the daycare. She always loved those children as if they were her own and it never felt like simply a daycare center.
She also gave back to her beloved Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene in the children's ministry. She truly felt that the Lord called her to teach those little lives. Diana loved the Lord and always wanted to spread His word! She is now where she truly wanted to be, with the love of her life Johnny. They were inseparable! It was only 127 days before she would be reunited with Johnny and now they are together forever with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We now have two beautiful angels watching over us.
We ask all her family, friends, and faith-family to come celebrate her life with us at 4pm at Kenmore Community Church of the Nazarene (2025 12th Street S. W., Akron, Ohio 44314) Saturday, November 20, 2021. A dinner will be provided by the church and all are invited to join us.
❤️❤️❤️ TOGETHER AGAIN! ❤️❤️❤️
Since heaven has become your home
I sometimes feel I'm so alone;
and though we now are far apart
you hold a big piece of my heart.
I never knew how much I'd grieve
when it was time for you to leave,
or just how much my heart would ache
from that one fragment you would take.
God lets this tender hole remain
reminding me we'll meet again,
and one day all the pain will cease
when He restores this missing piece.
He'll turn to joy my every tear
as our time together again is so near.
This will become my simple way
to look forward to our Reunion Day.
