Dennis H Kemper 61 of Akron passed away suddenly on October 5 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents Harley and Wilma Kemper; and father-in-law William Salk. He was born in Cleveland Ohio on September 20 1948 and lived most of his life in the Richfield and Akron areas. Denny was a true family man who always looked forward to decorating for the holidays and spending time with his loved ones and especially his orange cat Mac. Denny served both this country and his community proudly as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army and later as a Police Officer for the Bath Township Police Department in the 1970's. Denny is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years Sandi; his three loving daughters Marisa (Jeffrey) Gosnell Robin and Katie. Denny is also survived by his brother Allen (Alice) Kemper; sister-in-law Sue (Bob) Doherty; brother-in-law Bill (Robin) Salk; mother-in-law Lorraine Salk; nieces and nephews Jill (Israel) Smith Jenny Doherty Danny Doherty Eric Kemper and twins Billy & Deane Salk. He also leaves behind a plethora of irreplaceable furry friends: Lexe Kenna Mac Mojo Jax and Zoebit. Denny also held a special place in his heart for friends at both Freshmark and Consolidated Freightways. Calling hours will take place from 4-8 PM Thursday October 8 2009 at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. A celebration of Denny's life will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday October 9 at the funeral home with interment following immediately at Rose Hill Burial Park. Copley VFW 7971 American Legion Post 473 will be assisting with military honors. Fly with the angels....we all love you Pops.
