Darlene Dalessandro

Darlene Marie (Dogorin) Dalessandro 71 died on January 29 2013. She joins her loving husband Philip of 43 years for eternal rest and peace in Heaven. Darlene was the daughter of late George and Leona Dogorin. She was born and raised in Allen Park Michigan. After meeting her husband Philip they moved to Akron Ohio where they resided for many years. She will be remembered most as an incredibly sweet woman-a loving mother sister and friend. Darlene was a devoted wife caring lovingly for her husband in his years of need. Those years of love and strength symbolize her dedication. She was very proud to be a beautician many years ago in her mother's beauty shop. After moving to Ohio Darlene created a beautiful home life for her children. Whether she was baking Thanksgiving pies or planting spring flowers she took pride and found joy in the little details that made others feel welcomed and loved. Darlene was a long-time parishioner of St. Sebastian Parish and more recently a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls. She was a past President of Sanctuary Society of St. Sebastian and an active member of Christ Child Society. Darlene will be very dearly missed by all who knew her. Especially her son Patrick (Amy) and their girls Mia Darlene and Evelyn of Akron; her daughter Lisa (Keith) and their girls Lily Sophie and Grace of Akron. The girls will miss their Mimi and loved her with all their hearts. She is also survived by her loving sister Marianne (Kurt) Carpenter of Clovis CA; and sister-in-law Theresa (Frank) Fodale of Commerce Township Mich.; and brother-in-law John (Dawn) Dalessandro of Taylor Mich.; as well as many special nieces nephews and dear friends. Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to Darlene's friends extended family and care givers for their love support and prayers. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday February 2 2013 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave Akron. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday February 1 at Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Rd. COPLEY from 4-7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Christ Child Society of Akron. Darlene will remain in our hearts forever and her legacy of love will endure.
