Daniel Robert Goetz passed away unexpectedly March 26, 2020. He was born on March 11, 1952 in Cleveland, OH to Robert and Genevieve (Jean) Goetz. As a child he was frequently found in the garage with his dad where he discovered his lifelong love of tools, all things automotive and figuring out how things worked. He graduated from South High School in Cleveland, OH in 1970, was a member of the National Honor Society and the football and wrestling teams. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he began a career as a mechanical millwright. He brought a sense of professionalism and his unique skill to every task that he performed. He retired in September of 2018 from MidWest Forge Corporation in Euclid Ohio. Dan enjoyed his time with family and friends always ready with a joke and a cold beer. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his children Allison and Christopher Goetz; siblings Virginia Goetz of Cleveland Oh, Sandra (Ralph) Smailer of Pittsburgh, PA, and Andrew (Andrea) Goetz of Lakewood, CO. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to restrictions on public gatherings a memorial will be held at a later date.
